Abstract
This article proposes, from the theory of Franco Moretti (2013), a distant reading directed at the cultural supplement Sábado, part of the newspaper Unomásuno. From a theoretical approach to the digital world, this paper explains specifically Big Data, the importance of professionalizing these new processes in the humanities in order to design new interfaces that allow order and visibility to the metadata of newspaper materials. For this objective, the use of different digital tools was proposed, from the simplest to the most complex, but from an origin in the processes that allow the conceptualization of data. Some of the tools are Excel PivotTables, Voyant Tools, and programming language, for example, Python. The present text is a compilation of a first stage whose project is currently in a second phase that will propose new lines of research with the help of digital tools.
