Abstract
In the following study we propose that picture and writtings in a woman autobiographyis an option to prove and to study about women situation in the North of Mexico the first half of the twentieth century. We observe that the situation is of subordination as a result of the social practices of that period. In order to do this, we select elements found at the text Pancho Villa en la intimidad (1948) of the northern Luz Corral, who is the first of the Pancho Villa´s wives. We will use Roland Barthes concepts that can be found at at his investigation Camera Lucida: Reflections on Photography, that will be relate with what Cano (2010), Nash y Tavera (1995) among others that
developed investigations about women history as well, we will also use what Michel Foucault (2002) and Sheila Benhabib sugest.
